If I move to Opus Telecom, can I keep my existing number?
Yes, you will always keep your existing telephone number.

Can I still use the equipment I already have?
Yes of course, your equipment will stay exactly the same. If you're renting the equipment then you will continue the agreement as normal. We will just bill you for your line rental and calls.

Can you install new telephone lines and broadband?
Yes, we can arrange the installation of new lines and services through BT Openreach.

Will there be any disruptions?
When you transfer to us you won't lose one single second of service. It is a completely seamless process.

How long does the process take?
It will take approximately 10 working days for the transfer to take place, we will notify you of the transfer date when we confirm your order.

When will I get my first bill from you and when do we start paying you?
You will receive your first bill from us on about the 14th. of the month following your transfer to us. This bill will be slightly higher that usual as it includes the line rental for the remainder of the month after the transfer date as well as the full months line rental of the current month. You will also get a final bill from your current service provider ( e.g. BT Retail) after the transfer date.

Can you still provide me with the same Calling Features (e.g. Call diversion, Call minder) as I already receive from BT Retail?
Yes, we can provide most of the Calling Features which are currently provided by BT Retail, if you are using any Calling Feature that we cannot provide we will tell you before we place the transfer request to discuss whether you wish to proceed without it.

What happens if there is a fault with the telephone line or broadband?
Contact us on 01202 888930 or support@opusdorset.co.uk and we will assist you in ensuring that the fault is established and if necessary a BT Openreach engineer will be dispatched to your premises to resolve the problem.

Why don't Opus Telecom advertise?
We are always on the lookout for new customers. We work within in a business to business environment and we feel our best approach is through networking and some direct marketing. In fact, most of our customers are actually acquired through recommendation. Therefore, we feel it is not necessary to use expensive advertising as ultimately this will only force us to increase our prices.
